She is strong to empower and educate her clients to become their own therapist. She believes each client has the potential to reach their personal, professional, and therapeutic goals.
Christina has extensive experience in chronic mental illness, crisis work, and trauma. Areas of specialty that Christina currently focuses on: Anxiety Disorders, Relationship Counseling, Mediation, Leadership Coaching and Parenting Skills.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
The basis of Christina's work is routed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy was developed by Aaron Beck at the University of Pennsylvania. It is a structured, short-term, present-oriented psychotherapy directed toward solving problems and modifying dysfunctional thinking and behavior. It is one of the few forms of therapy that has been scientifically tested and found to be effective in hundreds of clinical trials for many different mental health disorders.
Christina encompasses other forms of therapy to address client needs; specifically, exposure therapy to address anxiety and trauma. She incorporates neuroscience - the education of the brain - and feels it is paramount to finding self-compassion and understanding while processing difficult emotions and traumatic experiences.
Speaking & Trainings
Christina is passionate about sharing her work with groups and organizations. Executive groups and organizations have hired her to provide understanding of the cognitive behavioral perspective when supporting the growth mindset in business relations.
